SystemsLab 167.0.0
Added
- (new command)
systemslab workspace editchanges a workspace's name, slug, description or readme notebook after it has been created. - The MCP server has
update_workspaceandremove_from_workspacetools, so agents can set a workspace's readme once its notebook is written. - A workspace's page has an Edit button for its name, slug and description, and each notebook has a link to make it, or stop it being, the readme.
- (new command)
systemslab export notebooksaves a notebook as JSON, andsystemslab import notebookcreates a notebook from that file on any server. Use--map OLD=NEWto point its references at the imported entities; it refuses to import a notebook that refers to missing entities unless you pass--allow-missing-references. - The notebook page has an Export menu that downloads the notebook as JSON or markdown, and the notebook list has an Import button for either kind of file.
systemslab export contextnow includes the notebooks that refer to the context or its experiments, andsystemslab import contextimports them pointing at the new copies. Pass--no-notebooksto leave them out.- The job logs page has a search bar that pages through matches in the whole log, including a job that is still running. The search is also available as
GET /api/v1/job/{job}/{run}/log/search.
Changed
- Installing
systemslab-agenton Amazon Linux and Rocky Linux now also installs rezolus, as it already did on Debian and Ubuntu. - The experiment page is split into Overview, Artifacts, Execution and Notebooks tabs. The Artifacts tab has a search box that takes
job:,type:andtag:filters. The reports section is no longer shown. - The job logs page loads long logs a part at a time, so it opens quickly and stays responsive no matter how big the log is.
- The homepage now opens with your own work (
by:me), or with everything, newest first, when you are not signed in. - The execution diagram opens on the last run when the experiment has run.
- Top bar links that do not fit move into a "more" dropdown instead of being pushed off screen.
- Links to this server's experiment, context and other entity pages in an exported notebook become mentions, so they point at the imported copies instead of back at the source server.
systemslab import workspaceimports notebooks in parallel, following-j, and a notebook that fails no longer stops the rest.submit_experimentinsystemslab mcpasks agents to give each shell step alabel, which the execution diagram shows in place of the script.- A multi-job experiment's EC2 hosts are now launched together or not at all. Previously, when a per-tag cap was reached, one job's host could launch and sit billed at its first barrier until its sibling got a slot.
Fixed
- Fixed
systemslab experiment monitorand the MCP watch tools crashing when connecting to anhttps://server. systemslab mcpnow lists the server's tools even when the server cannot be reached or you are not signed in, and picks up the server's real list once it can. Previously, the server's tools stayed missing until the MCP client was restarted.- A one-shot EC2 host that exits cleanly after its run is now recorded as "agent exited" instead of "backing host died".
- Fixed the execution diagram showing cancelled barrier waits as normal waits, and showing every step of a running job as not run when its runner does not report step timings.
- Fixed a race that could lose a background step's completion report.
